Ever feel like everyone else is out having fun and you're trapped in a hell of monotony and chaos?
Ever cry uncontrollably because you cannot manage to do the same thing over and over and over again?
It's not just doing the dishes every day. It's washing dishes, having the phone ring, leaving the kitchen to answer the phone, returning to find dirty dishes mixed with the clean ones drying.
It's not just the laundry. It's doing the laundry, only to find piles and piles more on your daughter's floor.
It's not just sweeping the floor. It's sweeping the floor, leaving the room for 5 minutes, and returning to find half a box of Special K on the floor and the rest on the table.

I understand completely, even if it's in a different capacity. Let's see -- we put Charlie in a time out about 15 times this weekend because he keeps biting and biting and biting. And when he's not biting, then he's running around knocking stuff over. I can't keep up on laundry. I have literally about ten different projects that I cannot find the time to get done -- and some of them are really stupid like go through the massive pile of papers in our desk. I have a huge cold sore... I accidentally bit hard on my bad teeth and began crying... and Randy is sick again. It just never ends.
I hear you, Mary. It's just life. You figure it out... enjoy the good parts... and then try to trudge through the bad.

Yep, sometimes it seems a little like Groundhogs Day...but the upside is (at least in my mind) that you do get to experience all of those things because eventually we will all be missing those silly little things that make us crazy now. And someone I know (a lovely girl with a name that rhymes with Jerry...) used to remind me that things could always be worse. XO
