Even though Dr. King was talking about faith, I think one step is really all it takes to start any project. Maybe he's the original Nike marketing, with Just Do it? I have so many projects still to do in my house. There are still things from the original list of 4+ years ago. I knew that I should have finished a couple of them before even moving in. I'll know better for next time. How do I find the time for projects when I can barely get regular household chores done?

I'm a great thinker, a good writer, and a bad talker. I think faster than I can talk about certain things, ideas about which I'm passionate. I can think and then re-think it and modify what I think until it's right to me on words written. I can edit what I write, but how can I change what I blurt? I can flirt on my feet. Flirting is nothing of substance. If someone asks me a serious question though, I like to think about my answer before speaking. Maybe because as the youngest of 4 kids, I had the opportunity to think before I had a chance to speak out. I wonder if Vladimir is the youngest in his family?

Should life be easy?
This question is not really a question for me. However, I think it'd be a great pre-screening question for a boyfriend!
Do people really just want the easy way?
It's been over a week, and a short conversation that I had with ex-husband is still bugging me. I'm so glad that Hannah witnessed it. It sums up a lot about who her parents are. It explains a lot. I can't even remember what comment lead up to this exchange. We were watching "Back to the the Future" because Hannah had never seen that cultural classic from my youth.
I said, "Life's not easy."
Ex incredulously asked me, "You don't think that life should be easy?"
I replied, "No, life should be happy for the most part, but that sometimes doing the right thing is not doing the easy thing."
He looked at me like he couldn't comprehend, but Hannah understood. Her dad's comments have bothered her as well, as she keeps bringing it up, that she cannot believe that he believes that!

Death is stressful
The woman who watches my kids during the summer is really a wonderful, caring person. She has the patience of Job. She told me that as long as she is doing day care that Sophie has a place with her. What a relief to me to have that security. Sophie and Hannah are loved there.
In the span of 47 days, Belinda has lost her Mother, Brother, Uncle and a Cousin. Her brother died on Christmas, and she'll bury her Mother on Valentine's Day.
She feels alone. I wish I knew what to do to help.
Whenever I think about my Dad's dying, I have these quick flashbacks of what different people did for me. Not even what they did, but where I saw them. Those moments are etchings in my soul. Those moments still bring me love.
Belinda called tonight to thank me for calling our mutual friend Debbie yesterday to ask her to sing at her Mother's funeral. That was the very least that I could do, and she was so appreciative.
I think it helps to know that others are there. If I could, I would take a little bit of her pain and have it as my own.

It's not a secret. Lots of people believe.
It's feng shui for words. The words with which you surround yourself creates the force around you.
I think that the words of others are the big bad wolf of your little piggy-house. If you use good, solid words to build yourself, then the wolf has to work harder than if you use flammable words of rage, hate, and negativity. The wolf can blow on those and make a bigger fire.
So, remove the wolf from your circle. Let no disturbance in your force.
Be a Jedi-Piggy and build your dream strong.
Obi-Wan says...The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.

There are real heroes
As the apartment building burned, Kamil Kaplan dropped his 9-month-old nephew from 4 stories up into the arms of a police officer. If he hadn't spotted the officer, he would have jumped with him, risking his own life to save the child. I read about this man tonight on CNN and just cried from the wonder.
Kamil is a hero. Super Bowl winners are not.
